AI Assistant tips and tricks — get better results faster
Practical techniques for getting the most from the AI assistant — quick prompts, the right mode for the right job, how to save credits, and what the AI can actually do.
In this guide
Three AI modes — which one to use when
The AI drawer has three modes, each optimised for a different job. Using the right one saves credits and gets better results.
Add mode
Use this when you want to add a brand new section to the current page. The AI focuses entirely on generation — it does not read existing sections. Tell it what you want and it builds immediately.
Best for: "Add a contact form", "Add a testimonials section", "Add a gallery"
Edit mode
Use this when you have a section selected (click a section card to select it) and want to change it. The AI has the full HTML and CSS in front of it and can make precise changes — colors, wording, layout, style.
Best for: "Change the button to red", "Make the heading bigger", "Add a WhatsApp number to this section"
Chat mode
Use this for anything else — creating pages, answering questions, searching across your site, changing things on other pages.
Best for: "Create an About page", "What is the phone number in my nav?", "Link all my nav items to the right pages"
Quick prompts — start with one click
The AI drawer shows a set of Quick Prompts — common requests that fill the chat box with one click. You do not need to type anything.
To use them: click the small spark icon (⚡) or the "Quick prompts" button near the chat input. A list of common prompts appears for the current mode.
Add mode prompts include:

Chat mode prompts include:
After clicking a prompt it fills the input — you can edit it before sending, or just hit Enter.
Save credits: Edit tab first, AI second
The Edit tab (the second tab in the left panel) is free and instant. Many changes that feel like they need AI can be done there:
| Task | Use Edit tab | Use AI |
|---|---|---|
| Change button text | ✅ Free | — |
| Change button color | ✅ Free | — |
| Change heading text | ✅ Free | — |
| Swap an image | ✅ Free | — |
| Add / remove a testimonial card | ✅ Free | — |
| Add a WhatsApp button to nav | ✅ Free | — |
| Change background color | ✅ Free (color picker) | Only if section has no color picker |
| Completely redesign the style | — | ✅ "Redesign" action |
| Rewrite all the copy | — | ✅ "Regenerate" action |
| Add a new section type | — | ✅ Add mode |
| Create a whole new page | — | ✅ Chat mode |
Rule of thumb: If you can see the field in the Edit tab, do it there. Reach for AI only when you need something that does not exist yet or needs a creative transformation.
Get better AI results with specific prompts
Vague prompts produce generic results. Specific prompts produce tailored output.
Instead of: "Add a contact section"
Try: "Add a contact section with a WhatsApp button set to +91 98765 43210, a simple name/email/message form, and our address: 12 Main Street, Coimbatore"
Instead of: "Redesign this"
Try: "Redesign this section with a dark navy background, gold accent buttons, and a more premium feel — keep all the existing text"
Instead of: "Make it better"
Try: "Rewrite the headline and subtext to be more confident and direct — our target customer is a small business owner who wants results fast"
The AI already knows your business name, type, and city — you do not need to repeat those. Focus your prompt on what is different from what you already have.
How the AI reads your site
In Chat mode, the AI has tools to search your entire site — you do not need to copy-paste content. It can:
This means you can ask the AI questions like:
The AI will search and give you a real answer, not a guess.
Batch changes — update multiple sections at once
You do not need to update one section at a time. The AI can make changes across multiple sections or even across pages in a single request.
Example — change the button color across all sections:
In Chat mode: "Change all the CTA button colors to green across my home page"
Example — update contact info everywhere:
"My phone number changed to +91 99999 00000 — update it wherever it appears on my site"
Example — link all nav items to the right pages:
"My nav has links to #about, #contact, and #services — update them to link to the real pages /about.html, /contact.html, and /services.html"
For multi-section edits on the current page, you can also select multiple sections (hold Shift or Ctrl while clicking section cards) and use "Batch Regenerate" in the Edit tab to rewrite them all with consistent style.
When AI says "I can't do that" — it usually can
The AI sometimes responds with limitations that are not real. Here are the most common misunderstandings:
"I cannot edit sections on other pages" — In Chat mode, the AI can read any page and propose updates via a global patch action. If you ask in Edit mode (and are on the wrong page), switch to Chat mode.
"JavaScript is not supported" — It is. Carousels, sliders, tabs, accordions, count-up animations, scroll-reveal, modals, sticky headers — all work. Ask explicitly for the effect you want.
"I cannot change individual card colors" — It can, using CSS nth-child or specific class targeting. Be specific: "Change the 3rd service card background to a light yellow".
"I cannot connect my nav to all pages" — It can. "Link the navbar items to all existing pages" is a valid Chat mode request.
If the AI says it cannot do something, try rephrasing in a different mode or breaking the request into smaller steps.
